Former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson has backed Liverpool to sign Leeds United‘s Rafinha over West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen.

The Reds are looking for a new midfielder. The people who have been linked continuously are Rafinha and Bowen, but in Robinson’s view, the star of the “Yung Thong” team is more suitable for Liverpool’s attacking game.

“Bowen will give them a little bit of defensive quality. But that doesn’t mean Rafinha is afraid to do so, I think Bowen would be better and better suited to West Ham’s system under David Moyes.

“Bowen has talent but Rafinha is one of the best players I’ve seen at Elland Road, players like Mane and Jota are top players. But I don’t think Rafinha is that far away.”

“Liverpool might have to spend a bit of money. This will be another very expensive player.”
